Gorgias plus Siena vs Richpanel: the full monthly cost
Three meters run on a Gorgias plus Siena stack. Here is each one at 2,000, 5,000 and 20,000 conversations a month, with the arithmetic shown and staffing kept on its own line.

What each line bills for
A ticket Siena resolves pays Siena once and uses a Gorgias ticket as well.
| Line |
Annual list price |
What it counts |
| Gorgias helpdesk | $300/mo for 2,000 tickets (Pro). $750/mo for 5,000 (Advanced). Then $0.36 a ticket | Any ticket with a message sent from your helpdesk |
| Siena platform fee | $750/mo | Flat |
| Siena automation | $0.90 per automated ticket | Tickets Siena automates |
| Richpanel seats | $99/seat/mo | Each human agent |
| Richpanel AI | ~$0.20/conversation, $200/mo minimum | Conversations the AI works. Modelled here on all of them |
Gorgias states the overlap for its own AI: "Each AI Agent interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket and is billed accordingly." [1]
Its billable-ticket rule covers any ticket with "at least one message" sent from your Gorgias helpdesk. Siena answers inside your Gorgias account, so this model counts Siena-answered tickets as billable. [2][4]
That rule names human agents, Rules and Gorgias's own AI Agent. It does not name third-party AI, so get Siena's case confirmed in writing.
Two items sit outside the model. Gorgias plan cards bundle an AI Agent allowance: $171 on Pro, $477 on Advanced. We leave it out, which flatters the Gorgias side if it cannot be removed. Siena lists onboarding without a price. [1][3]
The arithmetic at each volume
Seats follow one staffing assumption: an agent handles 600 conversations a month, about 30 a working day.
2,000 conversations a month
| Line | Gorgias + Siena, 50% | Richpanel, 50% | Gorgias + Siena, 70% | Richpanel, 70% |
| Helpdesk | $300 (Pro) | 2 × $99 = $198 | $300 (Pro) | 1 × $99 = $99 |
| AI platform fee | $750 | $0 | $750 | $0 |
| AI usage | 1,000 × $0.90 = $900 | 2,000 × $0.20 = $400 | 1,400 × $0.90 = $1,260 | 2,000 × $0.20 = $400 |
| Monthly total | $1,950 | $598 | $2,310 | $499 |
5,000 conversations a month
| Line | Gorgias + Siena, 50% | Richpanel, 50% | Gorgias + Siena, 70% | Richpanel, 70% |
| Helpdesk | $750 (Advanced) | 5 × $99 = $495 | $750 (Advanced) | 3 × $99 = $297 |
| AI platform fee | $750 | $0 | $750 | $0 |
| AI usage | 2,500 × $0.90 = $2,250 | 5,000 × $0.20 = $1,000 | 3,500 × $0.90 = $3,150 | 5,000 × $0.20 = $1,000 |
| Monthly total | $3,750 | $1,495 | $4,650 | $1,297 |
20,000 conversations a month
| Line | Gorgias + Siena, 50% | Richpanel, 50% | Gorgias + Siena, 70% | Richpanel, 70% |
| Helpdesk | $750 + 15,000 × $0.36 = $6,150 | 17 × $99 = $1,683 | $6,150 | 10 × $99 = $990 |
| AI platform fee | $750 | $0 | $750 | $0 |
| AI usage | 10,000 × $0.90 = $9,000 | 20,000 × $0.20 = $4,000 | 14,000 × $0.90 = $12,600 | 20,000 × $0.20 = $4,000 |
| Monthly total | $15,900 | $5,683 | $19,500 | $4,990 |
Gorgias lists plans up to 5,000 tickets and quotes teams above that. The 20,000 row uses Advanced plus list overage, so a quoted plan may come in lower. [1]
Richpanel's AI line stays flat across automation rates, because this model meters every conversation. Siena's line rises with each ticket it automates. [5]
Marginal cost and blended cost
Marginal is the price of one AI resolution. Blended is the whole support budget, people included. They answer different questions.
Marginal: one AI-resolved ticket
| Per resolution | Gorgias + Siena | Richpanel |
| AI fee | $0.90 | ~$0.20 a conversation |
| Helpdesk ticket used | $0.15 inside the allowance ($750 ÷ 5,000). $0.36 past it | $0 |
| Cost per AI resolution | $1.05 to $1.26 | $0.40 at 50% automation. $0.29 at 70% |
Richpanel's per-resolution figure divides the whole AI line by resolved tickets only: $1,000 over 2,500 at 50%. That is the fair comparison. It comes out roughly 3x to 4x lower, not the 5x to 6x the bare $0.20 implies.
Blended: software plus staffing
| Volume, automation | Agents | Staffing | Gorgias + Siena all in | Richpanel all in | Lower by |
| 2,000, 50% | 2 | $3,200 | $5,150 | $3,798 | 26% |
| 2,000, 70% | 1 | $1,600 | $3,910 | $2,099 | 46% |
| 5,000, 50% | 5 | $8,000 | $11,750 | $9,495 | 19% |
| 5,000, 70% | 3 | $4,800 | $9,450 | $6,097 | 35% |
| 20,000, 50% | 17 | $27,200 | $43,100 | $32,883 | 24% |
| 20,000, 70% | 10 | $16,000 | $35,500 | $20,990 | 41% |
Staffing assumes 600 conversations per agent a month at $1,600 fully loaded. Swap in your own numbers. [6]
At the same automation rate, both stacks need the same agents. Staffing moves only when automation moves. Going from 50% to 70% at 20,000 conversations is 7 agents in this model. That is arithmetic, not a promise.
The promise we do make is narrower: 50% of tickets resolved in 30 days, in writing, or your money back in full.
Replace both, or keep Gorgias
The real paths off a Gorgias plus Siena stack, priced at 5,000 conversations and 50% automation.
| Path | Software a month | What changes |
| Keep Gorgias and Siena | $3,750 | Nothing |
| Keep Gorgias, swap Siena for Gorgias AI Agent | $3,000 at $0.90 committed. $4,182 at list overage | Siena's $750 fee goes. You retrain on Gorgias AI |
| Replace both with Richpanel | $1,495 | Helpdesk migration and one cutover |
The $4,182 is Advanced's $477 for 530 interactions, then 1,970 more at $1.50, plus the $750 helpdesk. Gorgias may offer a larger allowance instead, so ask. [1]
Richpanel imports tickets, macros, tags and users. Your current helpdesk serves customers until one cutover. We buy out up to 100% of the remaining term on your Gorgias contract. See migrating from Gorgias.
When Gorgias plus Siena is the better fit
Where the gap narrows, or reverses.
- Many agents on low volume. Gorgias charges no seat fee. 30 agents on 2,000 conversations is $2,970 in Richpanel seats alone.
- Phone inside the inbox. Gorgias sells voice as an add-on. Richpanel integrates with Aircall, Dialpad and JustCall and does not host calls.
- Low automation. Siena bills only automated tickets, while this model meters every Richpanel conversation. At 5,000 conversations and 20% automation the gap narrows to $2,400 against $1,693.
- Siena already hits your targets. If it resolves your subscription and order requests well, compare renewal terms before planning a migration. See Siena alternatives.
