Q: Is Richpanel a helpdesk?

Amit: We have two products - 1) a self-service portal for your customers and 2) a helpdesk for your agents. You can use the the self-service portal with your existing helpdesk or use the Richpanel helpdesk if you wish to replace your helpdesk.

Q: How is Richpanel different from Zendesk, Gorgias, Helpscout?

Amit: The Richpanel helpdesk is a similar offering to helpdesk players like Zendesk, Gorgias, Helpscout, Intercom, Freshdesk. The Self-Service Portal is a powerful alternative to chatbots that is capable to automating 40-70% of support requests.

Q: Who is Richpanel for?

Amit: Customer service teams between 5 to 500 agents. And teams looking to scale and optimize their support operations.

Q: How many clients use Richpanel?

Amit: As of now, there are 1,879 websites using Richpanel (check installs on builtwith). My goal is to triple that number in the next 12 months. P.S: Builtwith is a crawler that crawls website to detect the technologies the website is using. You can put any competitor URL there and see what tech they use. Try it out here.

Q: Why did you start Richpanel?

Amit: We believe that the future of customer service lies in self-service. The best brands are those where customers never have to contact customer service in the first place.

Furthermore, we believe that the BPO market, which is worth over $260B per year, will be disrupted by AI and the evolution of technology. Most of the repetitive tasks that currently occupy 80% of support capacity will be automated, allowing humans to handle more complex cases that require their expertise. This will greatly benefit customers, who have likely experienced the frustration of being on hold for extended periods of time and being passed around to multiple representatives before their issue is resolved. Fortunately, this is going to change.

Richpanel was founded on this exciting mission. We hope to be one of the pioneers leading the way in this transition.

Q: Why haven’t I heard about you guys?

Amit: We are a new company, founded in 2020. While we haven't done a great job at marketing thus far, we are actively working to improve. Our plan is to publish more content and launch free tools and guides to help everyone succeed. We believe this will help us earn your trust. I am committed to ensuring you hear more about Richpanel in the future.

Q: Tell me the things that you guys are not good at?

Amit: Below are some of our worst reviews and testimonials from G2, Google, and Shopify.

In a nutshell:

  • We have fewer integrations than more established players. You can check all our current integrations here, and we are working on adding more.
  • Can’t do reporting on custom fields like Zendesk explore. Our reports are very opinionated and ecommerce specific. Explore our reporting here.
  • Our platform is designed exclusively for ecommerce. We have not developed any integrations outside of the ecommerce stack.
  • Although not related to the product, one company was upset when we cold-called them. They left us 1-star reviews from multiple accounts. We need to improve our approach in this area.

Q: How long does it take to setup Richpanel?

Amit: We aim to keep the time to go live under one week, with some brands even launching on the same day. To achieve this goal, we consistently launch initiatives to improve this metric. These initiatives include creating a self-certification process for agents, pre-loading accounts with default settings, providing 24x5 customer support on all plans, streamlining onboarding steps, and helping users go live with minimal setup.

We also built a launch template that we use for enterprise clients. This template helps us agree on objectives, keep track of the project plan, and conduct a business review against the set objectives.
